Save the date: HR Collective Pop-Up Store in Berlin

From 08-11 December 2025, the very first HR Collective Pop-Up Store will open its doors in Berlin – a concept store reimagining what HR spaces can look like: part community hub, part co-working space, part mini-festival. The format is made possible through a wonderful collaboration with the Berliner Kaffeerösterei, who are turning part of their café into a dedicated HR experience space for four days.

The event is hosted by HR Collective, founded by Linh Grethe – a community and knowledge platform in the HR and recruiting space connecting professionals across the DACH region. HR Collective brings together HR leaders, tools, service providers and ideas that make people practices more modern, accessible and inspiring. The Pop-Up Store is part of a broader movement to make HR more visible, collaborative and enjoyable.

The store brings together HR professionals looking for inspiration, exchange and easy access to relevant topics. Visitors can expect specialty coffee, co-working opportunities and relaxed networking, as well as curated merchandise and small surprise items – with all proceeds donated to a charitable cause. Each day features different community activities: from barista and matcha sessions to micro-workshops and seasonal formats like holiday wreath-making.

KUNO will be part of the program

The exact day and time when we’ll be on site and what we'll contribute will be announced on LinkedIn – a good moment to follow our LinkedIn page to stay updated. 😉

What we can already share:
It will be a compact, open format offering practical, real-time support. The Pop-Up Store is more than a creative community initiative – it’s a space for real, low-threshold exchange. That’s exactly what KUNO stands for: operational proximity, clear strategy and uncomplicated collaboration - alsways with our motto: Do what you love!

KUNO soon to be featured in the HR Collective Marketplace

In addition to participating in the Pop-Up Store, we’re excited that KUNO will be listed as one of the first service agencies in the newly launched HR Collective marketplace. The marketplace is a curated digital space where (HR-) leaders can discover relevant software, tools and service providers with ease. For us, it means visibility in a high-quality ecosystem and a strong platform to introduce our HR and payroll co-sourcing services to a broader international network.

Conclusion and more on LinkedIn

Mental health in remote teams is not an “extra task,” but a central foundation. Those who take it seriously don’t just strengthen their teams – they also enhance the performance and innovative capacity of the entire organization. Tools like nilo make it possible to provide access to mental health support digitally – professionally, confidentially, and flexibly. What truly matters is integration into everyday work: not as an exception, but as a standard.

In our joint LinkedIn series with nilo, we share additional concrete insights beyond the video mentioned above – into our work, our mindset, and our HR structures, including:

What Alternatives Exist – and Where Their Limits Are

Especially for managing directors and leadership teams, the question often arises of how a one-person HR role can be meaningfully supported and relieved.

A brief overview:

  • Interns can help, but they are time-limited and require significant onboarding.
  • Working students bring motivation, but are often only available short-term and focused on completing their studies.
  • Freelancers can provide selective support, but are usually single-person solutions without built-in continuity or backup.
  • Hiring a permanent additional role can be the right step, but is not always realistic – for example due to fluctuating demand or budget constraints.

CoSourcing offers an alternative: access to an entire team, with shared knowledge, built-in coverage, and flexible scaling – without long-term fixed costs.

Typical challenges in practice

In practice, three recurring challenges often emerge:

  • Missing or inconsistent compensation frameworks
  • Insufficient data quality in HR and payroll systems
  • Uncertainty in internal communication

The communication aspect in particular is often underestimated. Greater transparency does not automatically lead to greater acceptance. Employees will ask questions, draw comparisons, and expect clear and understandable explanations. In this context, HR takes on the role of translator between numbers, systems, and lived perceptions of fairness.
